**Job Title: SMT Machine Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled SMT Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, loading, and calibrating SMT machines to assemble Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) with precision and accuracy. **Responsibilities** + Load SMT pick-and-place machines with components as outlined in the provided documents. + Calibrate and align component pick-up locations. + Initiate PCB assembly and report any assembly errors to the Lead and/or Supervisor. + Use a microscope to verify correct component placement and orientation. + Manually align components prior to reflow within approved guidelines. + Apply solder paste to PCBs using MPM 100 or MPM 2500 printing equipment. + Bake populated PCBs using the reflow oven. + Perform post-reflow inspection and touch-up. **Essential Skills** + Familiarity with loading, calibrating, and operating SMT machines for PCB assembly. + Experience using a microscope to verify component placement and orientation. + Proficiency in soldering to manually realign components prior to reflow. + Ability to apply solder paste using MPM 100 or MPM 2500 printing equipment. + IPC certification or familiarity with IPC standards like 610. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience following detailed processes in a manufacturing environment. + Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. **Why Work Here?** Join a thriving company with room for advancement and the potential for a contract-to-hire role. The dress code is manufacturing casual, and employees will be provided with a coat and safety glasses. The role offers shift work, with a first shift from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm and a second shift from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, Monday through Friday. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.80 - $19.80/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
