AppleOne is hiring for a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to making a positive impact in our community. We are seeking a Controller - Director of Finance who is approachable, has a strong fit with our organizational culture, and brings a wealth of experience to our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a small accounting team.
• Oversee and perform functions such as Payroll, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Purchasing.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare annual budgets and financial reports.
• Work closely with auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Interact with the board and provide financial insights.
• Participate in software selection and implementation projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a Business-related field.
• CPA or MBA preferred, but not required with relatable experience.
• Minimum of 15+ years of related experience.
• Proven work stability, not jumping jobs every one or two years.
• Local to the area and have been in this area for at least a couple of years.
• Intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V Lookup, Sum Functions, etc.).
• Experience in nonprofit organizations, either working in or serving on a board.
• Analytical ability and strong problem-solving skills.
• Previous experience in similar positions such as Accounting Manager, Controller, or Director of Finance.
