What You'll Do:
Lead the migration of on-prem MS SQL and PostgreSQL databases to the cloud, preferably Azure, ensuring seamless transitions with minimal disruption.
Implement the Strangler pattern for legacy database migrations, enabling a smooth and incremental modernization approach.
Design and develop event-driven and domain-driven architectures that support scalable and resilient data systems.
Work with Azure's modern data stack, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Event Grid, and Azure Databricks to optimize data processing and integration.
Create robust data models for operational and analytical systems, focusing on transactional data and industry-specific workflows such as healthcare prior authorization.
Ensure data architecture aligns with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA compliance, to maintain security, privacy, and reliability.
Design cloud-agnostic solutions that support multi-cloud environments and future scalability.
What We're Looking For:
10-15 years of proven experience in data architecture, with a strong focus on database migrations and cloud technologies.
Deep knowledge of Strangler pattern migrations, event-driven design, and domain-driven design in large-scale applications.
Expertise in Azure cloud services, particularly data management and analytics solutions.
Strong understanding of data modeling, integration, and cloud-native architectures.
Experience working in the healthcare industry, including an understanding of healthcare data standards, prior authorization workflows, and compliance requirements (HIPAA, EDI, HL7, FHIR).
A cloud-agnostic mindset with the ability to design flexible, scalable architectures across different cloud platforms.
Nice to Have:
Experience with microservices and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Certifications in Azure or other cloud-related fields.
Background in healthcare technology and deep familiarity with prior authorization processes.
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc).
Technical certifications in cloud computing, database management, or data architecture are highly desirable.
