Main purpose of the Video Producer, Content role:

The Video Producer will oversee the end-to-end production process for our YouTube video content. They will be responsible for managing pre-production, production, and post-production workflows, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality videos that align with the brand's goals and creative vision. The Video Producer will collaborate closely with the creative, strategy, and talent relations teams to ensure all stakeholders are aligned and satisfied with the overall output. They will own relationships and management of external vendors and collaborate with internal departments to ensure production needs are met efficiently. The Video Producer may also manage a small team of production assistants to support the production process and provide support with social shoot production as needed.

Major Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Pre-Production:
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand video concepts, creative direction, and overall project goals.
  • Develop detailed project timelines, budgets, and production schedules.
  • Secure locations, talent, and other production resources as needed
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless execution of production plans.
  • Organize and lead pre-production meetings to align on creative objectives, logistics, and responsibilities.
  • Proactively identify any potential legal and clearance concerns during pre-production to avoid any complications during post production.
  • Refine and manage the product pull process and work with the production assistant, who will execute tasks such as receiving requests from content stakeholders, ordering, organization, inventory management, and ensuring timely returns.
  • Travel to offsite shoot locations to conduct tech scouts, assess the space, and ensure all production requirements are met for seamless execution.
  • Create and distribute call sheets and run of show documents for shoots, ensuring all details, timelines, and responsibilities are clearly outlined for the team.
  • Production:
  • Manage the day-of operations of YouTube video shoots, ensuring all logistics, crew, equipment, and talent are in place.
  • Act as the point of contact for the production team during filming, and ensure projects stay on track with run of show.
  • Troubleshoot challenges that may arise during filming, implementing efficient solutions to minimize delays or disruptions.
  • Post-Production:
  • Manage the post-production process, working closely with the creative team and editors to ensure the video meets creative standards and deadlines.
  • Oversee the review and approval of drafts, providing feedback to editors and other post-production staff.
  • Ensure all necessary assets (graphics, music, animations etc.) are delivered on time
  • Deliver final approved videos to appropriate stakeholders and sign off on the completion of each project.
  • Budget & Resource Management:
  • Develop and manage production budgets for YouTube projects, ensuring projects stay within budget while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
  • Track and report on production expenses, and address any discrepancies or potential budget overruns.
  • Oversee resource allocation to ensure maximum efficiency and smooth execution throughout the production process.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with the Senior Project Manager, Content, to ensure video projects stay on track with content timelines, meet operational requirements (such as budget), provide detailed status updates, and address any potential issues that may arise
  • Manage a small team of production assistants who will provide support throughout the entire production process.
  • Collaborate closely with the Associate Art Director and YouTube Creative Lead to ensure the set vision is executed seamlessly on set day.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including the Creative Team, Editors, Talent Manager, and any external contractors.
  • Contribute to project debriefs and retrospective meetings to identify opportunities for improvement in future productions.
  • Assist in social shoot production on an as-needed basis, helping to facilitate smooth and efficient execution across tasks.

Required Competencies:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Video Production
  • Skilled in Google Sheets, Slides, Docs (or equivalent Apple/Microsoft tools)
  • Experience with Airtable (or similar project management platforms)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, or a related field
  • Knowledge of industry-standard editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects)
  • Experience with Frame.io or similar collaboration tool
  • Familiarity with California permitting laws and regulations for production
  • Previous experience working with a culture, fashion and / or beauty retailer

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Revolve includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications.

A reasonable estimate of the current base hourly/salary range is $75,000 to $85,000/year.
