Job Description

Our client, a non-profit, is looking for a temporary Dance Center Assistant!

This assignment starts asap and will last for about 4-6 weeks, with potential to extend.

Location: Midtown

Schedule:

Tuesday - Thursday 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 pm

Friday 10:00 a.m. -6:00 p.m

Saturday 8:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m.

* Fully Onsite

Responsibilities:

• Update comp lists, class schedules, and rosters for performances
• Track registrations, follow up on attendance, and manage teacher discounts, student data, grades, and certificates
• Maintain weekly space scheduling
• Communicate with patrons and send course-related emails and materials
• Manage office supplies, print requests, and dance center merchandise with cost-efficiency
• Process onsite payments and track credit card transactions
• Support online courses: edit content, upload videos, start Zoom sessions, troubleshoot tech, and manage surveys and transcriptions
• Assist Directors with scheduling, email management, and other administrative tasks
• Conduct daily studio checks and coordinate with facilities for classroom setup
• Provide front-of-house support, liaising with faculty and patrons and resolving inquiries
• Assist with event support, including hospitality, box office, backstage, and costume organization
• Additional responsibilities as identified

Qualifications:

• 2+ years’ experience in an administrative setting and in arts education
• A demonstrable knowledge of and interest in Dance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
• Effective organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
• Proven problem-solving skills
• Adaptable and able to work well in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
