Snowflake is experiencing exponential growth, and we are expanding our global public relations team to help us scale. We are looking for a Product PR Specialist with a passion for communications and technology to develop and manage PR programs that showcase the unique innovations and teams driving the AI Data Cloud forward.

This role demands a skilled collaborator with a good understanding of B2B technology and an ability to distill complex AI concepts into simple language. The Product PR Specialist will report directly to Snowflake's Senior Product PR Lead, and will be responsible for supporting Snowflake's AI communications strategy, alongside our continued machine learning and AI-powered apps initiatives. This includes innovative storytelling around Snowflake's AI Research Team, identifying behind-the-scenes opportunities to uplevel their narratives and showcase the industry-leading work they’re doing. This individual will also spearhead major AI feature launch moments, drive PR strategies, elevate our AI executives' thought leadership pillars, work cross-functionally with various marketing and product teams to identify proactive storytelling opportunities, and more. In addition, this individual will oversee Snowflake’s apps and collaboration initiatives, identifying unique ways to showcase the customers and partners building AI-powered apps on Snowflake, and monetizing their data, apps, and AI models through Snowflake Marketplace.

Our ideal candidate will bring fresh ideas, ask smart questions, and has an entrepreneurial spirit in how they communicate our AI technology, capabilities, and customer success stories to audiences. A demonstrated track record of executing successful public relations campaigns in the data, AI, and / or enterprise software space is a must. A strong understanding of the AI landscape and fast-paced emerging trends is also key.

As the Product PR Specialist, you will:

  • Serve as a key member of the global corporate communications team and a subject matter expert for AI initiatives, offering collaboration, ideas, and execution around Snowflake's AI storytelling.
  • Drive comprehensive PR campaigns and launch moments for Snowflake’s AI research initiatives, collaborating closely with key members of the AI Research Team, content marketing, customer marketing, product marketing, product and engineering, social media, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Distill complex topics and research into simple language that resonates with global media.
  • Support key members of the Snowflake AI Research Team, working to up-level their thought leadership platforms externally across press, social media, third-party conferences, and more.
  • Build and own a dedicated AI speaking and awards program to secure high-impact speaking opportunities for Snowflake’s AI executives, and highlight product innovation.
  • Drive proactive customer storytelling opportunities to showcase customer success with Snowflake’s AI and machine learning products.
  • Track key trends, competitive insights, and news across the AI media landscape to identify and execute impactful trendjacking and thought leadership PR moments.
  • Identify unique storylines and opportunities to spotlight Snowflake’s AI innovation and research, thinking outside of the box with creative communications tactics.
  • Oversee Snowflake’s apps and collaboration initiatives, identifying unique PR strategies to showcase the customers and partners building AI-powered apps on Snowflake, and monetizing their data assets through Snowflake Marketplace.
  • Write press releases, blogs, pitches, and other collateral as assigned.
  • Drive PR reporting to showcase key results to Snowflake's executive team, taking a data-driven approach to improving initiatives and pivoting strategies.
  • Assist in managing Snowflake's PR agency teams.

Our ideal AI PR Specialist will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in communications, with a strong preference for candidates that have experience working in PR for enterprise software/technology, either in-house or with an agency.
  • Ability to understand and translate AI technology into public relations strategies, messaging, and compelling stories.
  • A strong understanding of the B2B enterprise tech landscape, especially as it relates to AI and machine learning.
  • Excellent written communicator with an understanding of how to create content that reaches multiple audiences across paid, earned, and owned channels.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem solving, technical, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage relationships with media and influencers in the AI space.
  • Solid organizational skills: proven capability to manage everything from strategy to details of day-to-day program execution.
  • Comfortable working in a rapidly growing and fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Experience collaborating with and advising VP and above level executives.
  • A team player with a history of execution and a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.

This role requires hybrid work, both remote and in-office, at our preferred Menlo Park, CA office.
