The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. The Site Reliability TPM team at LinkedIn is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager. The ideal candidate should have experience in infrastructure at scale, observability platforms, DevOps and enterprise products. In addition to strong technical knowledge, the ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment, be passionate about solving ambiguous problems, have a bias towards action and have the aptitude to drive the strategic vision and execution of our transformative initiatives in Observability. A successful candidate will have led multiple cross-functional technical programs, be familiar with operational best practices and have the vision to help drive strategy, be flexible on implementation details and clever in driving incremental results. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead transformative initiatives such as AI-driven Observability, Automated Triaging and Remediation. Responsibilities:

  • Help define and drive the strategic roadmap for the Big Data Platform and Autonomous Fleet programs, aligning with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure program goals are in sync with the overall organizational strategy, and pivot backed by strong reasoning.
  • Provide guidance on architectural and operational dependencies to ensure the successful execution of technically complex initiatives.
  • Proactively address issues and challenges that may impact the timeline or quality of deliverables and communicate them across the Organization, including to executive leadership.
  • Develop detailed program plans, ensuring that programs are executed on time and within scope while predicting potential risks and proactively developing mitigation strategies to ensure the success of the programs.
  • Act as the communication hub to enable quick decision making.
Basic Qualifications:
  • B.S./B.A. Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years professional experience in an engineering or technical team, managing technical programs/projects
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience in technical program management, with a focus on Infrastructure, Observability & DevOps
  • Experience with Observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana & OpenTelemetry
  • Knowledge of AI/ML-based observability solutions and their implementation in production environments.
  • Passion for driving operational excellence, reducing toil, and scaling engineering processes through automation
  • Experience delivering complex, technically challenging projects
  • Communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Presentation skills and experience briefing executive leadership
  • Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Experience analyzing data, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions
  • Proven ability to proactively problem-solve and navigate through ambiguity
  • Experience adapting to changing priorities and thriving in a rapidly evolving technology landscape

The pay range for this role is 112,000 to 183,000.
