Job Opportunity: Senior Civil/Environmental Engineer - Mining Sector

Primary Responsibilities:
• Project Leadership: Manage and execute civil engineering projects within the mining and industrial sector, ensuring timely delivery within budgetary constraints. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors to maintain high standards of project delivery.
• Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and expand client relationships, understanding their key success factors and aligning services to meet strategic goals. Mentor junior professionals to enhance service excellence and foster client satisfaction.
• Business Development: Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify new opportunities and contribute to strategic growth initiatives. Support company-wide visibility through participation in industry conferences and committees.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Perform civil engineering tasks for mining projects, including stormwater management, hydrology, site layout, and environmental remediation.
• Oversee project design, prepare engineering reports and specifications, and ensure technical accuracy and clarity.
• Supervise, mentor, and train junior engineers, promoting their professional development within the organization.
• Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
• Travel occasionally for field work, approximately 10% of the time, both locally and nationally.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in California required, additional licensure in Nevada and Arizona preferred.
• 7-15+ years of progressive experience in mining sector projects, with expertise in project management and business development.
• Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering aspects related to mining, including regulatory compliance and environmental practices.
• Proven leadership ability with a focus on team collaboration and client satisfaction.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrologic modeling tools is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in technical writing.
• Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment and manage multiple priorities.
