Provides professional nursing care to assigned patients. Assesses patients, develops and documents nursing care and discharge plans, and prepares and administers medications and interventions. Supervises nursing attendants and ancillary staff in patient care activities.
New York State Registered Professional Nursing license and current registration.
Basic Life Support. PALS is required upon hire.
Effective English communication skills, written, oral and interpersonal. Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval system. Use of patient care equipment as authorized by scope of practice. Use of electronic clinical information system.
Peds Hem/Onc experience, along with APHON Peds Hem/Onc, Chemotherapy/Biotherapeutics Certification is preferred.
