PROJECT MANAGER / ESTIMATOR

Construction industry experience required

Axis Construction LLC, a growing general contracting firm located in Alpharetta, GA, seeks a hands-on team player with 4-6 years of commercial general contracting project management experience to prepare job estimates and manage all aspects of multiple commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the bid process from intake to submission encompassing budgeting, scheduling and contract and project administration. Solicit bids and put together final proposal for management review.
• Communicate with customers, architects, engineers, suppliers and sub-contractors to develop winning bids
• Conduct site visits as necessary for bid information
• Set up projects including preconstruction meeting and activities, and all other coordination aspects to start up a job
• Work with Safety and field managers to prepare site safety, security, and maintenance of traffic and storm water pollution plans
• Work with Field Managers to establish, track and manage project schedules and obtain permits
• Finalize scope and pricing to generate purchase orders and sub-contracts and provide necessary documentation to perform the project as bid or better
• Prepare, review and return submittals for items to be manufactured or provided
• Perform other duties as necessary

Qualifications:

• 4-6 years’ project management/estimating experience on commercial general contracting projects
• High school diploma with additional schooling (AS or BS degree) or equivalent experience preferred
• Strong communication, organizational and PC skills including MS Office and construction software proficiency (Procore proficiency a plus)
• Attention to detail with the ability to communicate effectively with vendors and all levels of staff, manage multiple projects, accept positive feedback and constructive criticism, meet deadlines and work effectively within a team-oriented environment
• Self-directed team player with high ethical standards and work ethic and a willingness to improve and grow in a project management role.
• Availability to travel to construction sites
