Job Description

The National Director of Hospital Procurement is responsible for Project C.U.R.E.’s nationwide effort to solicit and receive donations of medical supplies and equipment from hospitals, clinics and ambulatory surgical centers. A successful Director will develop relationships with the leadership at these organizations by generating effective solicitations, maintaining regular communication and providing effective feedback to donors as to the impact of their medical supply and equipment donations. The Director will work with Operations Directors in C.U.R.E. Communities and the National Director of Manufacturer Procurement to tailor the relationship to achieve donor’s public relations and corporate responsibility goals. The Director will also establish C.U.R.E. Collection centers in target cities where Project C.U.R.E. does not operate distribution warehouses.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and execute a successful strategy to procure donated medical supplies from hospitals, clinics and surgery centers including identifying key decision makers within the organization, generate compelling proposals and develop a long-term relationship that produces consistent product donations.

• Collaborate with the Project C.U.R.E. Operations Directors and Procurement Committees at the major Distribution warehouses, as well as the volunteers who operate the Collection Centers in smaller cities, to coordinate successful efforts and effective relationship management.

• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date CRM database of medical donors including the names, locations and key information for all donor organizations.

• Create consistent communication content to hospital, clinic and surgical center contacts, sharing Project C.U.R.E. news and appeals for specific items of equipment and supplies.

• Provide regular, individualized communications, timely donation reports, accurate donation receipts, and feedback as to the results of their product donations to recipient overseas hospitals.

• Cooperate with the Operations Team and the National Director of Manufacturer Procurement to ensure appropriate inventory levels of equipment and supplies in all Project C.U.R.E. locations.

• Coordinate with the Logistics Team and Operations Directors to transport the donations to the Project C.U.R.E. facility.

QUALIFICATIONS: A successful candidate will bring a blend of experience in hospitals and clinics, a passion for global healthcare equity, and an ability to build strong relationships. They will demonstrate strategic thinking, operational execution, and the ability to inspire others both internally and externally. The ideal candidate demonstrates the following qualities:

1. Experience and Education: Holds a bachelor’s degree and has 3-5 years of account management or outreach experience preferably within healthcare or hospitals systems.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: This position offers competitive compensation commensurate with experience in the range of $80k to $90k and is eligible for a potential performance bonus. This position includes health insurance, paid vacation, holidays, and a 403(b) plan.
