LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a top healthcare client to fill an Internal Auditor position in their revenue cycle department. The position is 100% on-site in the Melville, NY office. Compensation is based on experience and ranges from $60-$70K plus a full suite of benefits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• High level of collaboration with employees, physicians, and external stakeholders.
• Identify risk areas, develop audit strategies, analyze reports, pinpoint issues, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Actively participate in workflow optimization.
• Collaborate with departments to address clarifications on audit findings.
• Collect, validate, and analyze project-related data, interpreting findings for reporting.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, policies, and procedures.
• Manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Maintain and update internal ticketing system.
• Conduct departmental inservice's as needed.

Education and Work Experience:

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred.
• Two to five years of relevant experience.
• Certification such as Certified Professional Coders (CPC), Certified Coding Specialists (CCS), Certified Coding Specialists Physicians (CCSP), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), or Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) preferred.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision in standardized procedures.
• Strong multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in Epic applications.
• Thorough understanding of medical terminology, ICD-10-CM, and CPT guidelines.
• Familiarity with NYS Medicaid, Third Party Regulations, and CMS Regulations.
