Position Summary: The Electrical Mechanic III is a safety sensitive position that requires following procedures for product assembly, fabrication, equipment operation and safety requirements. Key Duties and Responsibilities: •Use a variety of tools and equipment to assemble product according to required specifications and procedures. This includes assembly of electrical components, wire build up and wire routing in monuments. •Responsible for the quality of the product. •Responsible for tool accountability and maintenance within the Electrical Shop area. •Minimal guidance required to accomplish tasks. •Responsible for keeping the work area clean and safe. •Any other duties assigned by a Senior team lead Electrical Mechanic. •Ability to walk throughout the facility. •Able to provide daily status updates. Knowledge/Experience •Must be at least 18 years of age. •The Electrical Mechanic III shall possess a High School diploma or GED. •Preferably 7-year experience in an aerospace electrical manufacturing environment. •An FAA A&P certificate is desirable but not required. •Experience working with Boeing and Airbus wire specification. •Ability to read process specification and documents such as D6-54446 Job Requirements Skills/Abilities •Ability to communicate orally with others, internally and externally •Troubleshooting/problem solving •Ability to prioritize, multi-task effectively, and work under pressure •Able to perform basic mathematic calculations •Demonstrate technical ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements to perform electrical modification/repair. •Proficient with Syteline. •Perform all duties of Electrical Mechanic I and II proficiently and consistently. •Ability to use precision measuring instruments, calipers, micrometers, gauges, tools, etc., necessary to check dimensions and conformance to quality requirements. •Responsible for the proper performance of assignments and the prudent handling of product, tools and equipment. •Perform complex connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables. •Developing and maintaining professional and effective relationship with supplier. •Leverage teams' collective knowledge to develop technical solutions. •Familiar with and experience with barrier door bracket assembly. •Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments. •Efficient in guiding and leading wire into small openings with 0 to – tolerance. •Ability to understand and interpret electrical schematics •Works in a team environment participating in continuous improvement activities. •Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads and applying terminal caps •Route wire through closet furniture and terminate second end. •Use of a solder iron to solder wires to switches or connectors. •Interpret standard work instructions, charts, tables, blueprints, wire diagrams, formulas, sketches, verbal and electronic orders, job layouts, etc. to accomplish assigned work. •Perform tying, and closure of wire harnesses and cables in accordance with standard processes •Communicates to reduce ambiguity and anticipate colleagues and stakeholders needs. •Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. •Ability to quickly analyze, understand, organize and communicate complex technical concepts/problems across multiple disciplines. •Ability to work out of comfort zone, where process definition does not exist or is unclear. •Take ownership/initiative, pull teams together, establish battle rhythm and remove roadblocks. •Adaptable and able to operate in a dynamic environment to meet objectives on time. •Good communication skills and a self-starter that takes initiative without supervision.
