Job Description

Position Overview

The role focuses on delivering exceptional daily nursing care and services to assigned residents, adhering to each resident’s care plan, assessment, and instructions provided by supervisors. The aim is to create a supportive, respectful, and nurturing environment for all residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resident Care : Administer treatments and assist with daily functions like bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility. Ensure each resident’s personal care needs are met promptly and thoroughly.
  • Documentation & Reporting : Accurately record care details using approved facility abbreviations and report changes in condition, accidents, or incidents to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse immediately.
  • Compliance & Confidentiality : Uphold resident confidentiality, follow established policies, and report suspected violations or unauthorized access attempts regarding protected health information.
  • Resident Assistance : Help residents prepare for medical tests, pack belongings during room transfers, and maintain cleanliness and comfort in living spaces.
  • Collaboration : Work seamlessly with interdepartmental teams to maintain high-quality nursing services and respond promptly to resident calls and complaints.
  • Safety : Ensure a secure and calm environment, perform restorative procedures, and monitor for pressure areas or skin breakdowns, reporting any concerns.

Skills & Attributes

  • Proficient in medical documentation and understanding health regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to handle dynamic situations effectively.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring precise care and reporting.
  • Physical ability to assist residents with mobility and manage lifting/movement up to 25 pounds.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with residents and colleagues.

Education & Certifications

  • Minimum 10th grade education required.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in accordance with state laws.
  • CPR certification preferred but not mandatory.
