Job Title: Business Manager

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Business Manager with a strong background in transportation logistics and financial leadership to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and company-wide initiatives.
• Develop, implement, and monitor strategic business and financial plans aligned with corporate goals.
• Oversee full financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and performance analysis.
• Manage vendor and partner relationships to optimize cost-efficiency and service delivery.
• Analyze transportation logistics data to inform strategic decisions and improve delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to set and measure long-term business and financial performance objectives.
• Supervise all back-office functions including HR, employee onboarding, and payroll, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
• Direct the recruitment lifecycle to attract top talent across operations, logistics, and finance departments.
• Oversee dispatch and fleet management operations to improve scheduling, route optimization, and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state transportation regulations and internal policy standards.
• Having Ryder billing experience is a HUGE plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Transportation Management, or related field (MBA strongly preferred).
• Minimum 5 - 7 years of progressive experience in business operations, financial management, and logistics leadership.
• Demonstrated success in managing multi-million-dollar budgets and financial strategy in the transportation industry.
• In-depth knowledge of dispatch operations, fleet coordination, and DOT compliance.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, develop KPIs, and implement performance improvement plans.
• Exceptional financial acumen with expertise in P&L management, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business software such as ERP, CRM, and logistics management platforms.
• Superior communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments.
